In Mind and Body Pilates studio for mat classes Elmira does not teach more than 3 people at any given session enabling the teacher to give the customers all the required attention for the best result. Our aim is to give you best service and be the best Pilates studio in Calgary.

Reformer/Studio

Reformer Group Pilates Classes:

The reformer equipment will be used in Pilates reformer class in the mindandbodypilates studio. Elmira does not teach more than 2 persons at any class so the teacher can exercise adequate focus on the customer.

Reformer/Studio

Private Classes:

The private one by one Pilates classes involve all equipment: Reformer, Tower, Chair and Arc in each session.

Barre + Pilates Classes

These classes will include 30 minutes Barre and 30 minutes Reformer for maximum 2 clients in each group.

Pre and Post Natal

These pre and post natal Pilates classes are designed for expectant mothers and also for post-delivery period.

Special exercises are needed for these Pilates classes using all Pilates equipment and mat and very high level of attention is required by the certified teacher during the session, therefore the number of customers at each pre or post natal class session will be limited to maximum 2 persons only in each session.

Pilates for Neurological Conditions

These classes are focused on customers with neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s and stroke. The classes are designed to address issues common to many neurological diseases, including balance difficulties, muscle spasticity and rigidity, weakness, bladder problems and gait abnormalities.

About Teacher

Elmira

Elmira has been an active fitness and Pilates practitioner for more than 8 years in various countries.

Elmira has been teaching Pilates on mat, Reformer, Trapeze, Chair and Step Barrel. She currently teaches Pilates classes in different locations including Mount Royal University and Mind and Body Pilates studio in Calgary.

She is UK Register Exercise Professionals (UK REPs) as Level 3 Pilates teacher. She has passed all required anatomy and physiology courses and holds the UK Central YMCA (CYQ) diploma and Balance Body Comprehensive Pilates certificates as well as the UK Central YMCA Diploma and UK REPs certificate as Level 2 Gym Instructor and is also certified and Accredited by Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Association (AFLCA) as Group Exercise (Mind body accreditation) & Resistance Trainer (Leader accreditation).

She is happily married with two sons.

What form of exercise works best for you?

Pilates exercise system is designed for the whole body; it increases strength and balance and engages the mind with the body in performing the exercises. Pilates can be joyfully practiced by everyone from 10 to 100.

You may be advised by your physician to practice Pilates or simply interested in Pilates because of its benefits for your body and mind. Before start of our exercises, you will be given a consultation based on your body screening to select the best choice of exercises suiting you in the course package. This initial assessment will be free for those who purchase one of our packages.
